The Brothers just ended their basketball season. They ended on a poor note but added 2 new recruits that should help us for next season.
We're getting started with greek week which starts April 3. Our greek sing is looking to be great. Formal song being Sweet Caroline and our informal songs are a Michael Jackson quad medley (The Way You Make Me Feel, Billie Jean, Beat it, Thriller) It looks fantastic! We'll hope to post a good YouTube of it here!
We're prepping for Founder's day and we are doing a walk for MS on April 19. We're also fundraising by selling Sheetz coupons.
Congratulations for all of the great activities and for those Alumni visiting the site, please sign the Guestbook!

Supporting Our Chapter

Brothers, I want to take this opportunity to thank those brothers who were able to attend Homecoming this past weekend. I am sure that you all were as impressed with the chapter as I am. For those of you, who could not attend, let me tell you that the chapter is a great group of guys and they make us all proud to be Theta Xi’s. They took first place among the fraternities for their float and our brother Andrew Deriggi was crowned Homecoming King. They are extremely hard working, especially in the area of fundraising. However, because of the past poor financial position of the chapter it has been an uphill battle to become current with our National Organization.
At our most recent meeting, it was announced that the alumni association would assume this back debt of the chapter of about $3,200.00. I am sure that your first thought is why, which is an extremely valid question. The answer is simple. Of the current chapter members, only three of them were active brothers as freshman when this debt was accumulated. At the end of the 06-07 school year, the chapter owed the national organization over $6,000.00. The current chapter has been able to cut that debt in half while staying current on their fees. This money owed is from alumni not the chapter.
In an effort to raise these funds we are looking for a $100.00 donation from each brother. At Homecoming we already raised $1,000.00; we need to keep up this effort. I implore each and every one of you to donate this money. I ask that you think back to you days and the chapter and realize how great it is to be a Theta Xi.
To that end, to make life easy, we accept all major credit cards. If you would like to donate by credit card, please call Scott at (434) 589-8637. If you would like to send a check, please make it payable to the Theta Xi Alumni Association and mail it to the Theta Xi Alumni Association c/o Stephen M. Spedaliere, Esq., 123 Dale Avenue, Cortlandt Manor, New York 10567.
Yours In The Bonds

Homecoming 2008 was a time for Actives, Associates, Alumni and families to come together to celebrate SRU and college life! Along with our Actives, and new Associates, there were a number of alumni taking part in the weekend's activities!
Underlining the fact that we are the premier fraternity on campus, our very own brother, Andrew Deriggi BY 377 won Homecoming King!Homecoming 2008 Slideshow!
